Water Shortage Vulnerability Technical Methods

These documents present the 2023 updates to the Water Shortage Vulnerability scoring for both (and separately) rural communities as domestic wells and state small water systems and separately for small water systems, including the indicators, datasets, and methods used, and a statistical summary of results. This is an update to the scoring and tool that the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) submitted to the legislature in April 2021, developed in collaboration with the County Drought Advisory Group (CDAG) (DWR 2021). .
